HR Player
- Google Drive
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly):
Google API

HR Player Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy applies to the HR Player app for iPhone.
Summary
HR Player does not collect or send any personal data to the developer's servers.
The app has no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Google Drive data is exchanged only between your device and Google.
Google Account and Google Drive (optional)
The following permissions are requested only when you sign in with Google on the Drive tab.
- Basic account info (name, email address, profile picture): used only to identify the signed-in account during Google Sign-In.
- Google Drive read-only access (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly):
- Searches your Drive for video files and lists the folders that contain videos. This reads file and folder names, file types, parent folders, and thumbnails.
- Streams the content of the video you select to your device for playback.
- Reads the file list of the folder that contains the video, and the content of subtitle files (.srt, .smi, .ass, etc.) in that folder, to find and display matching subtitles.
- HR Player only reads your Drive files. It never creates, modifies, or deletes them.
- Data received from Google is used only for the playback features above, and never for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training AI/ML models.
- We do not sell or share Google user data with third parties, and no human, including the developer, reads it.
- HR Player's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data stored on your device
- Sign-in credentials (OAuth tokens): stored in the device Keychain by the Google Sign-In SDK.
- Resume positions: the last playback position and duration of each video, stored only on the device. Drive videos are identified by their file ID.
- Subtitle copies: subtitle files converted to a readable text encoding, stored in the app's cache folder.
- Thumbnails: kept in memory only while the app is running.
- Videos stored on your device (Files app or import) never leave the device.
Deletion and revoking access
- Tapping "Sign out" on the Drive tab deletes the sign-in credentials stored on the device.
- You can revoke HR Player's access at any time from Google Account › Third-party access.
- Deleting the app removes all data it stored on the device (resume positions, subtitle copies, and sign-in credentials).
